H-1B REGISTRATION – SECOND ROUND
USCIS is planning to conduct a second round of H-1B registrations for the FY 2021 H-1B Cap with a filing period from August 17 until mid-November 2020. The Initial Electronic registration period was from March 1 until March 20, 2020, with a corresponding filing window from April 01 to June 30, 2020.
It is believed that due to the present pandemic situation, USCIS did not receive enough petitions for the FY 2021 H-1B numerical allocations. As suggested in the initial registration process, unused registrations that were in “Submitted” or “Not Selected” status in the USCIS online account will now be reconsidered for selection.
Employers who have filed H-1B Registrations, may receive Selection Notices with the Registration Number on some of their registrations that may have been pending, If that happens, please contact GLF immediately so we may assist you with the cap filing in the second round.
GLF will continue to follow the developments in this important matter and will provide timely updates when they become available.
